When Should You Buy the Flower Girl Dress?

Buying dresses for your flower girl or junior bridesmaid is not easy at all, especially if you are looking for formal girl dresses of the same color, but of a different type. Many designers require at least 3 months to get the dress to size or to make it, but this obviously varies depending on the brand. Keep in mind that sometimes, on the chosen dress, changes must be made such as: shortening, tightening, creating a slit and the like. Alterations also require the right amount of time. After you have seen and chosen the dresses, parents usually have to place the orders. Typically, it could be about three months before they can hang in the closet for the big day. Once they arrive, the girls will have to do some fittings and check the fit, and understand if they want any alterations or similar. Between orders and tailoring arrangements, it could be about 6 months before the wedding—this gives you time to choose, order, and alter without stress, with the certainty that on the day they will have the dress you have always wanted for them.
